When something important happens on your app, you would like to know it, especially if you have been assigned a new task or record. Similarly, if you are running a complex project, you are ultimately relying on your Project Management Tool to get timely notifications for tasks on their deadline, who would want to miss an important deadline and lose a client?
Workiom makes sure you get your project and tasks in order.
We have designed two type of notifications to advance your job:
- Notification when a record is assigned to a user (the user will be get notified)
- Notification at 9 a.m on the day of the associated date of the record (the assignee of the record will be notified)
In order to make notifications works on any table or record, your list must have two field types:
- Field type: user
- Field date with “due date” selected.
There are three different places where you can receive notifications from your app on Workiom:
- The Inbox.
- The bell icon (In the Top-Right).
- Your email address.
The Inbox is where you will see all updates from records assigned to you. Use it as your own personal notification feed, where you can see everything you are intended to complete.
You can mark as notification as read as follows:
Or you can simply mark all your notification as read by clicking on the “Set all as read”:
The Bell Icon 🔔: You will receive notifications in the Bell Icon whenever someone:
- Assigns you to an item in a user field type
- When a due date arrives.
Make sure you allow your browser to push notifications so you get a better experience.
Email Notifications: By default, all email notifications are turned on for each new user, but you can go to your profile settings to change that. You will get an email whenever a notification is due.
To turn off notification, go to your inbox (https:// your_workspace.workiom.com/app/notifications), click on “Notification Settings”, and then toggle the “Receive Notifications” to No.
